Why I Blog
When it comes to blogging, I fear that someone will think my ideas silly--well maybe not my ideas, but think it silly that I think someone would want to read these thoughts. When I shared this fear with Ernie, he offered the same response I would have offered myself. "Why does it matter? It's for you anyway." Immediately, I realized I had no desire to blog for "me." None of the posts that swirl in my head are personal journals or an outlet for my thoughts and emotions. That made me wonder if I was all wrong in even wanting to blog. I pondered the idea most of the day, and near bedtime, I had a moment of clarity. The posts I want to share are things that enhance my life, my job, or my relationships. They are tools, resources, and methods that I would want someone to share with me if I didn't know them. So, I'll call it golden rule blogging--I'm blogging for others what I would want them to blog for me. And there may be an occasional rant or emotional piece thrown in too. Thanks for reading. If you like it, great. If you don't, there are plenty of other blogs. :) I'm not going to sweat it.
